okay one, the Lafayette sounds so fun, I am so down for the unsettling overlook hotel vibes. Two, I have the exact same problem with dating and men. I think learning to see people/things for what they are just comes with time and experience. But I’m afraid I get so caught up in my feelings that it will never matter, I’ll always need someone to give me a reality check. That’s what brutally honest friends are for I guess 😂💓

but yes! the Lafayette is probably one of my favorite places. it's definitely an unsettling and kind of confusing place (like genuinely, why is there a full on 50s diner just like randomly in a corner?) but I think that's what I love about it. but! because it has so much going on, it definitely makes it a popular place so it can get a bit crowded :/
ugh yeah that's exactly what happens to me. as soon as my feelings get involved it's like I've never had a coherent thought in my life LOL but then when it's over, it's like my head clears and I can't believe I let myself get so wrapped up lolol. I think it's just definitely gonna take some time and practice! but having friends who love, support you, and will always tell you the truth (even when you might not wanna hear it) is definitely helpful :) ESP nowadays with social media and most dating being online
